The Roger Vivier brand has been owned by Diego Della Valle’s company, Tod’s, from 2006. Monsieur Roger Vivier, creator of the first stiletto heel in the 1950s, designed extravagent, luxuriously embellished shoes which he described as sculptures. A virtuoso craftsman and true conoisseur of female elegance, he elevated shoe-making to an art form, drawing on the savoir-faire of the French embroidery houses. Maison Vivier’s artistic heritage and excellent traditional roots find a new expression every day.
